We’re a Stockholm-based startup on a mission to empower healthcare personnel through digitalization. We connect more than 5.000 nurses and doctors with attractive job opportunities on a daily basis, and help more than 750 hospitals to continually fill their staffing needs – all while disrupting the traditional staffing industry. We are, as of today, a team of 14 people, some working remotely, some part-time, yet all of us dedicated to Medpeople’s mission – and we’re growing steadily. We are now looking for a Product Owner to help optimize our development process and drive our product forward.
As Product Owner you will be part of our tech team, working closely with our Product Manager, who is responsible for the long-term product vision and product design, as well as with stakeholders from other departments, to make sure the development efforts are focused on the right priorities. We have a very collaborative team culture, so to say you „own“ the product backlog or the development process would be wrong, but you will definitely play a vital role in shaping them!
Your responsibilities as a Product Owner include:
- breaking down the product vision and roadmap into actionable next steps
- prioritizing the product backlog before each new sprint in collaboration with relevant stakeholders
- defining user stories and documenting requirements and success criteria for new features
- following up on releases and evaluating the success of implemented changes
- enabling the tech team to reach their full potential by optimizing the development process
To be successful in this role and feel at home in the Medpeople team, you probably:
- have experience working with international and distributed development teams as a Product Owner
- have a thorough understanding of agile principles and values
- are very organized, a great communicator, and encourage dialogue and collaboration
- enjoy taking responsibility, driving your own initiatives and coordinating the inputs and needs of different stakeholders
- bonus if you also have an engineering background, as it will help you define technical requirements – and perhaps you’d even like to support the tech team with hands-on coding from time to time?
